About us:

Eight Point Construction differs from a conventional building company as we offer a full design and construction process for our clients. We begin by working with clients on their ideas, concepts, wants and needs through discussion and the creation of concept drawings including 3D CAD models through to in house drafting, all while keeping costs and budgets within the discussion. This allows our clients to work with one team, rather than separate conversations with multiple companies, to achieve their vision. We pride ourselves on our communication, quality and expertise, with over 20 years of experience in kitchens, bathrooms, renovations and knock down rebuilds.

When did your business start?

Eight Point Construction began in March 2020, just as the first Covid-19 lockdown took effect.

What is the biggest challenge in your business/industry currently?

Our biggest challenge currently is managing rising material costs due to cost-of-living pressures, recent interest rate hikes, and legislative limits on passing these increases onto clients. This has tightened margins and made affordability a key concern.

Where do you see your business/industry heading in the next few years?

I think that the building industry is heading into a challenging period over the next few years, mainly due to prolonged cost-of-living pressures and the impact of increasing state debt. These factors are likely to strain household budgets, making clients more cautious with spending on new construction or renovations. Additionally, the rising cost of materials and borrowing could further limit growth, as both businesses and consumers face tighter financial constraints.

How long have you been working with MJAA?

We engaged and started with MJAA 18 months ago, and haven’t looked back.
